Heather has more than 30 years of professional writing and editing experience as well as extensive experience in all aspects of communications (including website content creation, planning, media relations, video scripting, white papers, marketing and nonprofit development and leadership). She is also the proud single mother of a 22-year-old son, Aidan, who recently graduated summa cum laude from TCNJ with a degree in psychology (double minors in Spanish and Criminology).

Within her 30 years as a professional writer, she has launched a newsletter; managed a team of journalists; written for the worldwide news service, Reuters, where she also helped to create the electricity reporting desk; acted as an editor for an alumni magazine where she spearheaded the first women's forum and regularly wrote press releases; and co-founded a not-for-profit in 2013 called Women & Girls Education (WAGE) International of which she is president.

She is also the founder of the former Expanded Horizons Tutoring, where the inception of her writing business, Pressing Releases first began when parents of tutees asked her about writing services for themselves after seeing such improvement in their children's writing. She continues to tutor today.

Concurrently, she has volunteered for social services, tutored math and English to junior high school students in Washington, DC, and taught English as a second language to a Taiwanese minister.

But perhaps her story is best told through her blogging. Within her blogs, she has woven in her philosophies, motivations. passions and what drives her to write.
